Delivering Bread to Villages in Ukraine

One of our special projects is the distribution of loaves of bread in small villages in the Kherson, Mykolayiv, and Donetsk regions of Ukraine.

During the occupation, we experienced hunger and bread seemed to be the most delicious food.”

Despite the challenging conditions, Operation Blessing volunteers continue to work in front-line territories, delivering food, bread, and fuel briquettes. Support reaches those most in need, even during the occupation, as in the case of the village of Bila Krynytsia in the Mykolaiv region. Bread was delivered through secret routes both during the harsh occupation and immediately after the village’s liberation. Our volunteers drove to the semi-ruined village with a van loaded with bread.

Oksana Turlak, whom we met during the bread distribution, shared her story: “When the Russians entered our village, besides the deadly danger and regular shelling, we lacked drinking water and food. Volunteers found ways to deliver bread to us, which helped us survive.”

After Bila Krynytsia was liberated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, residents are returning to rebuild their homes and start anew, even near the front line. The support from Operation Blessing gives them hope and motivation to rebuild their communities.

Your help is greatly needed. We thank all the donors who support our work. Together, we can bring hope.
