Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, thousands of families have fled their homes in search of safety. Many of them arrived in Poland, carrying not only their suitcases, but also deep pain, uncertainty, and fear. In this time of crisis, the partnership between Superbook and Operation Blessing became a source of light and comfort for many children.
Through Superbook events, regular activities in shelters, and special outreach programs children were given a safe place to laugh, play, and hear the message of hope found in the Bible. It was incredibly moving to see smiles return to their faces – even if just for a while. Watching a Superbook episode together, singing, crafting, and praying created a space where joy could be reborn.
One of the most powerful moments was when a Superbook tent was set up right at the border, during the peak of the humanitarian crisis, welcoming families who had just crossed into safety. It was a place where children could rest, breathe, and be embraced with kindness in the very first moments after leaving everything behind.
What made a huge difference was the fact that Superbook is an international program available in Ukrainian. This allowed children to connect immediately, understand the stories, and feel included from the very beginning. Many children recognized the characters and songs, which brought a sense of familiarity and comfort in a foreign country.
In many locations across Poland, Superbook events were combined with humanitarian aid provided by Operation Blessing. Families who came for food packages, hygiene kits, or clothing also found a warm, welcoming environment where their children could rest, play, and be reminded that they are not forgotten.
This collaboration between Superbook and Operation Blessing showed that practical help and spiritual support go hand in hand. While parents received essentials for daily life, their children received something just as valuable – encouragement, love, and the life-changing message of the Gospel.
Together, we are witnessing the power of hope, kindness, and God’s truth at work in the lives of those who need it most.
